I just picked this game up at a thrift store and have enjoyed it. Thanks for the podcast!

I would recommend upping the volume a bit. BoardGamesToGo has a good level. The Dice Tower is OK too (a touch loud). Most new podcasts aren't loud enough to be listened to on some MP3 players on a loud train.

Just listened to the first show. Nice first try. I second the comment about the volume. Very soft and inconsistant.

One comment about the content, I like that you included your son in on the podcast and he seemed to handle it fairly well for his age (6 I think was mentioned). However, don't ask him to describe the game mechanisms or rules. Many of the adult podcasters have a hard time discribing a games machanisms in a coherent, well structured manner, listening to a 6 year old do it was, to be blunt, downright painful. I would suggest you limit his input to his thoughts about the game. You and you wife need to handle the hard details to limit his rambling off track. Down the road as he gets older and more experienced, he should be able to provide better technical content.

I'm not quite the target audiance for your podcast as I have older boys (13 & 10) who are now more experienced gamers and can handle just about anything we throw at them. (Nothing says family time more than battling and defeating the big baddie in Arkham Horror.) Keep it up and listen to the other podcasts for ideas (which I think you implied that you do). Good Luck. Off to episode 2.
